Our history
Manser Saxon Contracting Ltd was incorporated in Mauritius in 1993. The company operated from Quatre-Bornes with a single division, Ceilings, Partitioning & Shopfitting. The first contracts included shopfitting works for the State Bank of Mauritius, in Port-Louis, and Medcor.
In 1995, Manser Saxon took over Tornado Ltd, an air-conditioning company.
In 1996, the plan to merge the contracting divisions of Ireland Blyth Limited (IBL) and Manser Saxon was elaborated. In 1997, IBL became the majority shareholder of the company and various divisions were created – MS Electrical and Fire Prevention and MS Mechanical joined MS Ceilings, Partitioning & Shopfitting. Central management, administration and financial units were established. Little by little, in order to rationalize its operational costs, Manser Saxon started consolidating its assets: instead of operating form various geographical zones, as previously done, all the production side of the operation was centralized in Riche-Terre.
Various Manser Saxon subsidiary companies were established throughout the years to respond to demands in the market for contracting and allied services.
In 2004, Manser Saxon’s management saw the opportunities offered by the fast growing economy of Dubai, and decided to further enlarge their operation. Manser Saxon Dubai, a company which has evolved to become today a dynamic turnkey interiors fit-out company was thus incorporated.
Since 2003 all the divisions and subsidiary companies of Manser Saxon operate from an Industrial complex in Riche-Terre. The premises consist of 12,000m2 of covered production and storage facilities including 800m2 of modern and functional office facilities.
Since 2007, Manser Saxon is part of the IBL Logistics, Engineering & Commerce cluster, which regroups 17 companies of IBL under the responsibility of one Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Fabrizio Merlo.
